Many strong-willed women have revolutionized law in India, and one of them is Mita Banerjee. A force to be reckoned with, Mita Banarjee’s is prowess in the field of legalese in India. She completed her bachelor’s in Political Science and pursued LLB in 2009. From 2009 to 2016, Mita worked as a solicitor and successfully dealt with 100 cases focusing on rape, child abuse, forgery, divorce, corporate crime, and likewise. She is a member of the High Court Baristal Club and is also termed with the Bar Council of India. Mita, undoubtedly, is a very daring woman who takes on any challenge that life throws at her with sheer determination. She is indebted to her husband, an advocate, for inspiring her at every walk of her life. Her father, her mentor, has helped Mita in all her trials and tribulations, motivating the young lawyer at every step. Mita has also done a diploma in Psychotherapy better to understand human behavior and the causes of crimes. During her leisure time, Mita enjoys cooking and has a penchant for reading history and Indian mythology. Mita opines that she resonates with Razia Sultan on a personal level. She says, ‘there is always one woman behind a man’s success, whereas there are many men behind the success of a single woman.’ Mita has an intrinsic love for animals and fights cases against animal cruelty. Mita asserts that believing in truth is the only real goal of human beings, and truth over materialist gains is what she stands by. When it comes to women, Mita expresses that life is not black and white; instead, it has shades of grey that include the Godsend truth. She pledges to fight against discrimination of all kinds, be it towards men or women.
